The Texas Jazz Allstars (TeJAS) performed a fantastic concert on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the Grand Hall at NRH Centre. The enthusiastic audience enjoyed an evening full of top-notch jazz classics and the band received a well-deserved standing ovation at the concert's close.
TeJAS is a 22 member, teenage all-star group of saxophones, brass, vocalists and a roaring rhythm section. Members are selected by audition, or based on instructor recommendations and their All Region/All State standings. This process yields an elite lineup able to perform college-level and professional level repertoire.
This free concert was provided to the public through the NRH Arts initiative “Art Lives in Our City”.

A capacity crowd filled the ballroom of the Grand Hall at NRH Centre on Thursday, December 14. The Texas Guitar Society, along with a string quartet and bass-baritone Adeniyi Samuel, treated the audience to a wide variety of traditional Christmas music played on string instruments. The audience was invited to sing along with the musicians and a great time was had by all!

Lights & MUSIC in NRH!
The Memphis Soul Band made the music and Lightware Labs provided the magic on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Great tunes were complemented by spectacular laser projection onto the facade of the NRH City Hall rotunda. If you didn't get a chance to see the show, take a look at this highlight video:

FEATURING ARTIST ANDREW WYETH'S ONLY GRANDCHILD SPEAKING ABOUT HER GRANDFATHER'S LIFE, WORK AND LEGACY
Art lovers gathered on Thursday, May 25 at 7 p.m. at the Grand Hall at NRH Centre as Victoria Browning Wyeth offered a glimpse into the private life and works of her grandfather, iconic American painter, Andrew Wyeth. Ms. Wyeth spoke from her home in Maine via an exclusive Zoom chat with the NRH Grand Hall audience. As Andrew Wyeth's only grandchild, she offered a family perspective on the work of this beloved artist. Ms. Wyeth examined her grandfather's art and technique, including masterpieces like Christina's World, Master Bedroom, and Wind from the Sea, while also sharing family stories, sketches and other seldom seen works. After her lecture, Ms. Wyeth participated in a virtual "meet and greet" with individual members of the audience.

Artwork with a music theme became an intrinsic part of a beautiful performance by members of the Texas Guitar Society on September 29, 2022. The audience enjoyed an art exhibition and classical guitar concert at the Grand Hall at NRH Centre.
